Cheap Digital SLR Camera

The global market for digital SLR cameras continues to grow steadily.

However, it still only accounts for a 7 percent share of the total global digital camera market. When considering the much larger market share that was held by interchangeable lens type SLR camera systems when film photography was the dominant imaging medium, it seems as if there is still ample room for sales growth in the SLR category, particularly the inexpensive, cheap digital SLR market. That being said, compact digital cameras will continue to offer an expanding range of performance and features, and market surveys continue to indicate that customers choose compact models because they find digital SLR cameras to be heavy, big, more expensive, and difficult to operate.

SLR sales will continue to grow in excess of point and shoot camera sales in 2009. Look for cheap SLRs sales growth to lead the way.
