Cheap Digital SLR Camera

SLR camera's are right now in the sweet spot for digital camera manufacturers according to a new InfoTrends Consumer Digital Camera Report. The SLR camera sales growth will far outweigh the increase in the digital camera market as a whole.

In 2007, the DSLR camera market grew by 40% compared to the point-and-shoot market, which grew by 24%. Cheap models lead much of this growth. As growth in the compact camera market has recently slowed, manufacturers have looked to DSLRs to provide additional revenue streams. DSLR market growth is driven by easy-to-use technology, cheaper prices, and increased model availability.

Although DSLRs are often feature packed, camera vendors are increasingly striving to incorporate the simplicity of compact cameras.
